Did you know that Reiki healing can be shared with a receiver over any distance? We'll meet on Zoom where I will guide a relaxing restorative and yin yoga experience while sending Reiki healing to all participants. We will finish off by getting comfy and enjoying a relaxing Yoga Nidra meditation.
In this session you will focus on a personal intention. You will receive information and a worksheet ahead of time to set your personal intention for your practice. This is a great opportunity to set an intention at the new moon to grow as the moon waxes!
This practice is designed to release stress and anxiety while entering into states of deep relaxation. We will begin with gentle Restorative and Yin poses designed to release the muscles and stretch the connective tissue. During the practice Reiki will be transmitted to the participants, strengthening and unblocking Life Force Energy. From there we will move to a comfortable and supported position lying on the floor to experience Yoga Nidra- a sleep-based meditation technique. In a state between waking and sleeping the body is re-balanced and tensions are released. The benefits to the mind and body can be the equivalent of several hours of sleep.
Reiki is an energy healing therapy used to ease stress and anxiety while promoting relaxation and healing. The tradition of Reiki comes from Japan, and the word can be broken down to Rei- meaning Universal Life and Ki- meaning energy. Put together, Reiki refers to universal life energy- the energy that sustains life in all beings. During a session energy is channeled through the practitioner into the receiver, strengthening and unblocking the receiver’s universal life energy. Sessions are beneficial for anyone, and energy can be transferred through touch or without direct body contact. Reiki can be sent across any distance as well. While not a substitute for doctor-prescribed treatments, Reiki can be used as a supplement to medical care for those suffering with illness, disease, and injury, by creating a healing environment in the body.
Yoga Nidra is a sleep-based meditation technique that allows us to disengage from the thinking mind by entering the space between waking and sleeping. In this state we are able to deeply relax, re-balancing and releasing deep tension in the body. We also learn to interact with our thoughts differently, preventing them from overpowering the mind so we are able to remain in a relaxed state after Yoga Nidra is complete. This mediation is practiced laying down in a comfortable position supported by props, and is appropriate for anybody. Reduced stress and anxiety, a relaxed state, and better sleep are a few of the benefits that may be experienced.
